AMS Project Engineer

Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.) Job Description Role Purpose Provide hands-on technical services for AMS projects. The role supports equipment relocation, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, while continuously expanding internal technical capabilities and reusable service knowledge. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, start up, maintain, troubleshoot and repair general laboratory equipment within the company’s approved technical scope.
• Deliver planned and corrective services for AMS contract customers, including equipment condition checks, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, basic repair and service follow-up.
• Support relocation projects through site surveys, equipment-list verification, technical planning, move preparation, execution support and final acceptance.
• Assess equipment configurations and site conditions, including power, gas, water, network, ventilation, access and other installation requirements.
• Develop technical scopes, method statements, risk assessments, resource estimates, maintenance checklists and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate OEM engineers and third-party service partners, provide technical guidance, review service reports and perform quality inspections.
• Support Project Managers with technical schedules, risks, issue resolution, change evidence, customer communication and completion documentation.
• Identify additional customer needs and convert project documents, maintenance records, fault cases and lessons learned into SOPs, troubleshooting guides and a reusable technical knowledge base. Key Qualifications and Capabilities
• Bachelor’s degree or above in instrumentation, automation, electrical, mechanical, biomedical, chemical engineering or a related discipline.
• At least three years of hands-on experience in laboratory equipment installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair or relocation.
• Proven hands-on capability with multiple types of general laboratory equipment, supported by clear examples of work personally completed.
• Practical experience in equipment condition assessment, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and basic repair.
• Experience in relocation support, including site surveys, equipment-list verification, installation-condition assessment and technical execution.
• Basic HPLC and GC service capability, with an understanding of key modules, fluid paths, gas supply, installation requirements and common faults.
• Strong coordination, customer communication and service awareness, with the ability to identify additional maintenance, repair, relocation or asset-management needs.
• Strong learning agility and technical curiosity, with the ability to independently learn unfamiliar equipment and systematically convert experience into reusable knowledge.
