Accounting · Own day-to-day bookkeeping and Bulgarian statutory accounting for GeoWealth Development Bulgaria EOOD, including monthly close, VAT, and statutory filings coordination with local advisors · Prepare and reconcile EUR financials under both Bulgarian accounting standards and

so they consolidate cleanly into the U.S. parent · Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and EUR/USD currency translation entries in line with ASC 830 NetSuite Migration & Systems · Lead the Bulgaria-side migration from the current accounting system to NetSuite, including data mapping, testing, and post-go-live process design · Serve as the Sofia-based point of contact for NetSuite implementation questions specific to the Bulgaria entity Internal Controls & Compliance · Design and document internal controls for the Bulgaria entity to support the company's SOC 2 compliance program · Ensure compliance with Bulgarian tax, VAT, and payroll/statutory reporting requirements, coordinating with local advisors as needed Cross-Border Collaboration · Partner directly with the U.S. finance team on month-end close, external audit support, and multi-entity consolidation · Serve as the primary Sofia-based liaison for U.S. finance leadership, escalating issues and communicating status clearly in English Skills, Knowledge and Experience: · 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in Bulgaria, with solid command of Bulgarian statutory accounting requirements · Working knowledge of US GAAP, ideally from prior experience supporting a US parent company or dual-reporting environment · Fluent written and spoken English · Demonstrated internal-controls or process-discipline orientation, not just transactional bookkeeping · Experience with month-end close and multi-currency reconciliations · Comfortable working independently as the sole Bulgaria-based accounting resource, with strong follow-through · Experience with NetSuite, either as an end user or through a prior ERP implementation/migration, preferred · Experience supporting a U.S.-parent / EU-subsidiary consolidation structure preferred · ACCA, CPA, or Bulgarian chartered accountant credential preferred · Background in financial services, asset management, or a professional services firm serving those industries preferred
