We’re excited to have the opportunity for an Education Development Manager to join our team. Your Role As the Education Development Manager, you will lead and manage our software and content development teams in creating a best in class online software platform and exceptional content products for our customers. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will play a pivotal role in bridging high-level strategic goals with everyday engineering and content delivery.   • Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience leading successful software teams designing web applications that are robust, maintainable, scalable, and secure, with a strong understanding of APIs, service boundaries, and integration patterns.
  • Expert in java, typescript, with spring and sql database design a bonus. Experience with AWS desirable, but not crucial.
  • A technical or computer science background is beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to understand how engineering principles and techniques contribute to the reliability, maintainability, performance, design and production of software.
  • Background in Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
  • Good understanding of project management and development methodologies.
  • Ability to take big picture strategic goals and disseminate to the product teams.
  • Ability to lead a group using collaborative ideation and problem solving.
  • Great leadership and motivational skills.
  • Ability to delegate tasks in a manner that makes the best use of an individual team member’s skill set.
  • Ability to develop team members within their roles.
