Commercial Analyst

About the role As a Commercial Analyst, you will join a central Commercial Costing team of six professionals within the EMEA Commercial Excellence function. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Costing – Consumer Packaging EMEA, you will support commercial and profitability decisions across a network of more than 50 manufacturing plants throughout the region. The role has a strong focus on RFQ (Request for quotation) and costing activities, contributing to developing best-in-class costing practices and cost models across a complex international manufacturing environment. What you'll do Costing & RFQ support · Prepare detailed costings for RFQs, tenders and pricing requests · Validate business assumptions, manufacturing costs, and sourcing options · Support commercial teams with pricing recommendations and margin analysis · Ensure consistency and accuracy across all costing submissions Cost Models · Build, maintain, and improve product cost models · Analyse key cost drivers, including materials, labour, logistics, and manufacturing costs · Support pricing strategies and customer negotiations through financial insight Profitability analysis · Conduct profitability reviews by customer, product, market segment, and region · Identify margin improvement opportunities and cost reduction levers What makes this role unique · Exposure to a diverse industrial environment covering more than 50 manufacturing sites across EMEA · Close collaboration with international stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations and R&D · Broad visibility of manufacturing economics, pricing strategy, and commercial performance across multiple markets Who you are We are looking for someone with a combination of analytical capability and commercial curiosity. You will ideally have: · Experience in, or a good knowledge of, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Controlling, or Commercial Costing · Experience in a manufacturing environment · Excellent Excel and data analysis skills · Commercial mindset with an understanding of pricing and profitability drivers · Ability to confidently work across a range of IT systems and tools (CRM, ERP, Power BI, databases) · Good communication and problem-solving skills · High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy · Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field Why join us?
