Summary You will serve as a
Training Instructor
in the Production Resource Department (Code 900), Production Workforce Development and Resource Manager (900B), Consolidated Training Division (Code 900T), Apprenticeship/Helper to worker Training Branch (Code 900T.3) of
Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
Duties
- You will develop, revise, and adapt assigned courses.
- You will prepare plans and training materials based on course objectives.
- You will encourage good class attendance, participation, and conduct.
- You will evaluate instructional approaches, develop materials and evaluations.
- You will conduct training research for budget purposes and for training quality assurance.
- You will maintain training records and develop training reports. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience displaying practical knowledge of education and training principles, techniques, and practices. Experience effectively instructing others in the subject taught and must have sufficient knowledge of the subject matter taught to provide practical application of subject matter theory. Experience researching, developing, establishing, updating and improving assigned courses. Experience utilizing the knowledge and skill commensurate of a 4-year apprenticeship for the painting trade. Experience incorporating latest developments and integrating subjects into instruction to maintain state-of-art-training.
