As a key member of the Group Chief Investment Office (GCIO), the candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis on macro economy and financial markets to develop and formulate Prudential house view on financial market and assets outlook. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis on macro economy and financial markets, as well as their implication on asset allocation and portfolio construction.
- Actively contribute to the Group’s thought leadership on asset allocation and investment strategy.
- Develop and formulate Prudential house view on financial market and assets outlook.
- Support in investment solution development and provide oversight of portfolio management.
- Collaborate with Local Investment Teams: Partner with Prudential’s local investment teams to deliver regular market outlook presentations and ad-hoc analyses on significant investment events.
- Executive-Level Communication: Prepare and present investment market analysis, macro strategy insights, and portfolio implications to senior management, internal stakeholders, and external audiences.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key liaison between Group CIO and local investment teams, fostering collaboration and alignment on macro strategy and portfolio decisions. Requirements
- 10-12 years of relevant work experience in a financial institution, ideally in an Economist/Strategist role with extensive experience in analyzing a broad range of asset classes/strategies across different markets.
- Ability to write effectively and explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication and team working attributes
