We’re looking for technically curious HVAC professionals who want to take the next step into Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls . If you have strong HVAC fundamentals, enjoy solving problems, and are comfortable working with laptops and software, we want to talk with you. Previous building automation experience is a plus, but you don’t need to know everything on day one. Training, mentoring, and hands-on field support are provided to help you develop your controls expertise. In this role, you’ll combine traditional HVAC troubleshooting with computers, software, networking, electronic controls, and building automation technology to help customers improve the comfort, reliability, and efficiency of their facilities. What you will do
• Troubleshoot commercial HVAC and building automation systems.
• Use laptops, BAS software, diagnostic tools, and system data to identify and resolve problems.
• Work with controllers, sensors, actuators, networks, and other electronic control devices.
• Diagnose HVAC, electrical, controls, software, and communication issues.
• Learn to program, configure, commission, and optimize building automation systems.
• Use trends and system data to find the root cause of building performance problems.
• Work with air-handling systems, VAVs, chilled-water systems, boilers, chillers, and other commercial HVAC equipment.
• Communicate directly with customers to understand their concerns and explain technical issues clearly.
• Recommend repairs, upgrades, and system improvements that improve building performance.
• Assist with system layouts, sequences of operation, control drawings, and project documentation.
• Train customers on the operation of their building automation systems.
• Work alongside experienced controls professionals and develop your technical skills.
• As your experience grows, help mentor and support other technicians.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction How you will do it We’re looking for someone who is mechanically strong, comfortable with technology, and likes figuring out how things work .
• Commercial HVAC service, controls, electrical, or related technical experience.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and basic system operation.
• Strong computer skills and comfort working from a laptop in the field.
• Ability to learn new software and navigate computer-based technical applications.
• Comfort troubleshooting problems involving a combination of mechanical equipment, electronics, software, and communications .
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Logical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other technicians.
• Willingness to learn and continually develop your technical skills.
• Technical/vocational education, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Valid driver's license. What we look for Technology experience that is a plus You do not need to be an IT professional or programmer, but experience or interest in any of the following is valuable:
• Windows-based applications
• Computer networking and IP addresses
• Software installation and configuration
• BAS or HVAC service software
• Connecting computers to equipment for diagnostics

• Programming or logical troubleshooting

Hiring Hourly

RANGE: $29.13

• 40.09 Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
