People Leader, Product Safety Engineering

Job Description Summary Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Product Safety Engineering team. This critical role assures product safety hazards are identified and appropriately and consistently mitigated for Gas Power product lines and functions across the product lifecycle. This leadership position provides controllership of the product safety process, leads mitigation and lessons learning of reactive field safety issues, drives process improvements and ensures consistent process rigor across all Gas Power business units. This role will require you to foster a culture of safety-first engineering, where critical risk identification is valued as a foundational element of our design excellence. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities The Engineering Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This role will require you to develop and implement strategic plans that motivate and energize the team to achieve their objectives of proactively identifying and resolving safety hazards and driving tangible improvements in Gas Power product designs and services offerings that deliver both GE Vernova / customer value.

• Manage the Product Safety Engineering team by identifying and addressing: development needs and resource planning; career growth for team members; strategic planning for organization development.
• Own product safety risk management of field safety issues; ensure timely mitigation of product safety concerns and elimination of issue recurrence across the affected fleet.
• Provide leadership and process expertise that assures continuous process improvement and consistent, rigorous execution across the GE Vernova Gas Power business.
• Drive collaboration with Commercial, Systems, Services, Legal, EHS, and Design Engineering teams to drive pinpoint focus on reducing unsafe events and driving lessons learned into new product designs.
• Lead, coach, and mentor direct reports. Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned organizational responsibilities, programs, and personnel. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience with strong technical skills and demonstrated technical execution, with at least 2 years of leadership experience in product safety discipline.
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in driving strategic process change.
• 2+ years of demonstrated coaching expertise and success in working across the business functions, other GE Vernova businesses, and the global teams. Desired Characteristics

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
