This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Editor based in the United States. This role supports federal research and transportation communications programs by turning complex technical content into clear, accurate, publication-ready materials. You will edit and manage highly technical documents, working closely with engineers, researchers, and other subject-matter experts. The position covers the complete document lifecycle, from outlining and substantive editing through formatting, accessibility review, and final publication. You will help translate technical data, engineering concepts, schematics, and research findings into communications that are authoritative and accessible. Success in the role requires strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines. The position is primarily remote, with occasional travel possible for client engagements.
