As a Software Engineer
• Intern, you’ll help in developing new AI and data powered products and features for KnowBe4’s platform, collaborating with other engineers in a fast-paced, agile development environment. What You’ll Do ● AI Development: Build and integrate AI-powered backend features that adapt and learn in production. ● APIs & Pipelines: Extend APIs and data workflows that connect models to real users. ● LLM Integration: Apply best practices in prompt/context design, orchestration, and RAG. ● NLP: Proficiency in NLP techniques for text analysis, sentiment analysis, entity recognition, and topic modeling. ● Data Science & Machine Learning: Understand and analyze data, perform EDA, build comprehensive features. Work with unsupervised Learning, Random Forest, XGBoost ● Collaboration: Partner with senior engineers and product teams to deliver secure, scalable systems. ● Craftsmanship: Write clean, tested code and uphold best practices for reviews and deployment. ● Growth: Keep learning! What You Bring You’re the kind of engineer who loves learning new technologies, takes pride in code quality, and wants to build and own high-quality production AI systems at scale. ● Pursuing a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with electives/specialization in AI/Data Science/Machine learning. ● Strong Python skills and experience with modern web/API frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask. ● Curiosity for AI/ML
• you’ve explored LLMs, orchestration frameworks, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Bonus points if you have: ● Experience with data processing tools (PySpark, Pandas, or Polars). ● Fine-tuning experience: you've adapted models like DeBERTa, BERT, or RoBERTa for domain-specific tasks ● Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (we use GitLab ) and infrastructure-as-code (we use Terraform ). ● A habit of turning new discoveries into reusable knowledge for the team.
