- Set the strategic vision for technology governance and risk management across the organisation, providing executive oversight for major technology risk assessments and governance reviews.
- Act as a key risk relationship partner across stakeholders, business processes, committees, and working groups, and develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators.
- Coordinate and run key risk forums, support the delivery of risk reporting to the MLT, Board, and other governance forums, and oversee the establishment and reporting of KPIs and metrics to evaluate governance and risk effectiveness.
- Act as a key advisor to the Executive Leadership Team on technology risk and governance matters, fostering a strong culture of risk governance and compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while conducting regular risk reports and managing risk issues in alignment with the firm's risk appetite.
- Lead risk management reviews for technology projects, services, and applications; develop governance and risk-based processes for AI functionality management; and review and ensure policy alignment for existing AI applications. What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience in technology governance, risk management, and compliance within complex, enterprise environments.
- Deep knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g. COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001), including Australian regulatory expectations (e.g. ACSC).
- Proven ability to define and execute strategy, contributing to medium-term (1–3 year) firm or business objectives.
- Demonstrated executive-level influence, with the ability to shape decisions across senior stakeholders and governance forums.
- Strong leadership capability, including building and leading high-performing teams and delivering outcomes across large, cross-functional programmes.
- Commercial and operational acumen, including budget ownership and optimisation of investment to deliver business value.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively across business, technology, and risk domains.
- Experience leading large-scale, firm-wide programmes with broad organisational impact.
- Strong understanding of internal audit, controls, and risk assessment frameworks.
