We’re seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Talent Acquisition Specialist/Sr. HR Generalist to join our team and play a key role in shaping an exceptional employee experience from first conversation through onboarding and beyond. In this exciting role, you’ll be a brand ambassador for Hartz, where you will build positive candidate relationships and bring our culture, mission, benefits, growth opportunities, and employee experience to life. You will partner with hiring managers and collaborate with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the full-lifecycle recruitment process—from sourcing and interviewing through offer extension and onboarding. This hands-on, solution-oriented role combines talent acquisition with broad HR generalist responsibilities. By leveraging HR metrics and workforce data, you will evaluate our recruiting effectiveness, identify process improvements, and support business decisions, while also providing support in employee relations, policy administration, compliance, employee engagement, and offboarding. This position is located at our Secaucus, NJ corporate headquarters, with the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. Your Responsibilities … Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding lifecycle for remote and on-site hires, while ensuring a positive candidate experience
- Develop and implement creative and effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified talent through social media platforms, job boards, networking, employee referrals, and other sourcing channels
- Serve as a brand ambassador for the organization by building positive candidate relationships and effectively communicating the unique value of working for the company, including its culture, mission, benefits, growth opportunities, and employee experience
- Execute 360 recruitment process: Execute the full-cycle recruitment process, including partnering with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, developing sourcing strategies, creating and maintaining job descriptions and postings, sourcing and evaluating candidates, coordinating offers and negotiations, and managing relationships with recruitment agencies and search partners
- Ensure compliance during the entire recruiting process by rigorously adhering to Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) guidelines
- Leverage approved AI-enabled technologies and digital tools to improve efficiency, analyze information, and support day-to-day work activities while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and appropriate human oversight
- Stay current on talent acquisition trends and best practices, recommending strategies and process improvements that enhance candidate experience and recruitment outcomes
- Facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, including coordinating pre-employment activities, orientation sessions, training coordination, and completion of required documentation
- Deliver New Hire Orientation presentations
- Assign and track required compliance training
- Conduct new hire and manager follow-up meetings to support successful integration and address onboarding concerns Employee Relations & HR Support
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives
- Develop and maintain knowledge of company policies, procedures, benefits and HR programs to effectively respond to employees and manager inquiries and promote consistent application of company practices
- Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws, pay transparency regulations, and HR compliance standards to ensure organizational compliance in recruitment
- Address employee inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
- Assist with the coordination of employee events and employee engagement activities
- Conduct exit interviews for departing employees and assist with transition-related questions Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate, confidential and compliant employee records.
- Ensure data accuracy within the HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics and provide insights to management

- Education: Bachelor's Degree in HR, Marketing, Communications or a related field
- Recruiting Experience:
- 3+ years of full-cycle in-house recruiting experience in a consumer goods company, preferably in a multi-site environment
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing recruitment strategies and virtual onboarding across multiple levels and geographic locations
- Strong candidate sourcing experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other talent acquisition channels, combined with the ability to leverage new recruiting technologies to enhance hiring outcomes
- Experience supporting onboarding and employee engagement initiatives
- Experience working in a collaborative recruiting environment and partnering with hiring managers to fill a variety of professional exempt and non-exempt positions
- Familiarity with Affirmative Action recruiting is a plus
- HR Generalist Experience: 1-3 years of experience, with hands-on exposure across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, compliance and offboarding
- HRIS Proficiency: Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS and Employee Self-Service systems; experience with Paylocity is a plus
- HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of core HR practices, employee relations, and employment laws, including FLSA, EEO, I-9 and pay transparency requirements
- Communication & Relationship Management: Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities with ability to communicate effectively with all levels
- Organizational Adaptability & Execution: Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities independently or collaboratively in dynamic environments
