At IBM Quantum we build utility scale (> 100 qubit) quantum computer systems comprised of superconducting qubits cooled to 10mK in dilution refridgerators and controlled by microwave pulses produced from advanced racks of room temperature electronics (RTE). Our team at IBM quantum working on building, deploying and calibrating these systems is looking for a summer intern to contribute to RTE deployments. In this role you will help build out our RTE systems, troubleshoot issues, and suggest improvements that may help with systems reliability and stability. This also includes improvements to the qualification, setup and operation of Chiller Distribution Units which provide constant temperature fluid for several system components. Candidate for this role is required to have the following expertise: Studies in EE, Physics or a related discipline Proficient in electrical control setups Knowledge in the test and validation of control setups Experience troubleshooting complex systems Desire/interest to work in the field of quantum control systems Candidate for this role would also benefits from the following expertise: General knowledge of microwave circuits, incl. test equipment Knowledge of classical control and readout of quantum circuits Understanding of circuit design and test United States Security Internship POUGHKEEPSIE, US (0147) International Business Machines Corporation
