Hospice Volunteers Needed Are you a caring, compassionate person who wants to make a real difference in someone’s life? You don’t need to be a healthcare professional. You don’t need hospice experience. You simply need a caring heart, a willingness to help, live in the San Antonio area and have a little time to give. Pacific Hospice and Palliative Care is looking for compassionate individuals to join our Hospice Volunteer Team . Whether you have a few hours a week, a few hours a month, or prefer helping from home, there may be a volunteer opportunity that fits your life. ❤️

Volunteer Opportunities May

INCLUDE:

  • Patient Companionship – Visit, talk, read, play games, listen to music, or simply spend time with a patient.
  • Caregiver Respite – Provide companionship while a caregiver takes a short break.
  • Friendly Phone Calls – Make check-in and support calls from the comfort of your home.
  • Reading & Reflections – Read stories, inspirational materials, poetry, or other meaningful selections.
  • Music, Art & Creativity – Share music, crafts, art, or other talents.
  • Office Support – Help with appropriate office and organizational projects.
  • Bereavement Support – Assist with approved hospice bereavement activities and follow-up.
  • Special Projects – Participate in activities designed to bring comfort, connection, and kindness to patients and families.

This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity. Pacific Hospice and Palliative Care is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care that supports the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families. If you have been looking for a meaningful way to give back, we would love to welcome you to our volunteer team. Orientation and training are provided. All volunteers must complete required orientation and training prior to placement. Background checks, health screenings, and applicable hospice compliance requirements will apply.
