Business Transformation & Data Manager (m/f/d) Looking for a role that will have a meaningful impact on Operations in Spain? We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Transformation and Data Manager (m/f/d), based in our Madrid office in the Torre de Cristal. This role is responsible for leading business transformation, operational excellence, technology-enabled process reengineering improvements, and strategic projects across Southern Europe. The role combines technical expertise and strong operational and business acumen to bridge the gap between Operations, Technology, Data, and Business stakeholders. This position plays a key role in the implementation of the Southern Europe Target Operating Model (TOM), ensuring scalable processes, data-driven decision making, system integration, and alignment with European strategic initiatives. The role is expected to contribute both from a functional and technical perspective, including data analysis, systems design, automation, and technology governance. What you’ll be doing:
- Leading business transformation and process excellence initiatives across Southern Europe region, identifying operational improvements, automation opportunities and scalable ways of working.
- Translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications, supporting system integration, automation, testing and implementation activities.
- Coordinating strategic projects across Operations & IT, Finance, Underwriting, Claims and European Data teams, ensuring clear governance, reporting and stakeholder alignment.
- Acting as the primary contact for European Data Engineers & Analysts teams, supporting the development, prioritisation and delivery of scalable data solutions.
- Working with IT colleagues to ensure solutions meet technical standards and are efficiently implemented.
- Applying knowledge of data, SQL, Power BI, Databricks, Excel and Microsoft 365 to support reporting, process improvement and digital productivity initiatives.
- Assessing project proposals, business cases, dependencies, risks and issues, recommending corrective actions where needed.
- Preparing executive presentations, decision papers and project updates to support governance and decision making.
- Monitoring progress, budget, resourcing, third-party contributions, overall delivery performance and lessons learned, ensuring smooth transition to business as usual.
- Developing KPI frameworks, dashboards and management information to support data-driven decision making, operational performance and executive reporting. Our must-haves:
- Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or a related technical subject area. Equivalent professional experience, supported by relevant technical certifications, will also be considered.
- 5-10 years of experience in Business Analysis, Technology or Transformation functions.
- Experience in insurance, financial services or regulated industries.
- Proven experience working in complex environments and driving business outcomes, leading international and cross-country initiatives.
- Exposure to data migration, cloud transformation and enterprise integration projects.
- Strong analytical skills with a consistent track record of breaking down complex problems. Analytical approach, demonstrating critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative style, helping others succeed and building strong collaborator relationships.
- Effective communication skills as you collaborate with local and regional partners, as well as internal colleagues, across Spain and Europe
- Customer-focused approach, with the ability to understand needs and propose effective solutions.
- High standards of quality, ownership and delivery excellence.
- Fluency in Spanish and English. Additional knowledge of Italian, or Portuguese an advantage.
