Business Analyst

This role will report to our Manager of Rate Implementation team, who reports to our Head of Disability Pricing. The Business Analyst will have a growth mindset and be responsible for participating in planning sessions with key stakeholders while working to enhance our Rate Calculation technology platforms. In addition, they will assist with the plan creation & testing of projects and perform implementation of rates from Pricing actuaries. The Business Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand all areas impacted and maintain alignment. You are · A self-starter who seeks to understand customer needs, business demands, and aligns their business analyst capacity and skills to implement the best solutions · Determined to find the best approach to work, identifying the highest value techniques to achieve business objectives · Focused on developing and maintaining relationships with all key stakeholders to gather information, understand interests, and enhance personal and departmental productivity You have · Bachelor’s degree or experience in a similar role · A broad understanding of group insurance strategies, products, and processes · Experience with Underwriting Rating and Quoting Platforms (GCRS/CPS/GTAB/OpenL) a plus · High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, JIRA, Tableau, and/or Confluence tool sets a plus · Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization in written, verbal, and visual formats You will

• Participate in daily status calls, troubleshooting sessions, project related meetings that cut across multiple business and functional areas
• Act as rate calculation/rate table subject matter experts for Product area, Quality Assurance testers and Development teams
• Assist with the creation of test plan scenarios, and user acceptance/production release testing.
• Update rate tables for both Mainframe and OpenL based rate calculations for product rate filings and project enhancements
• Assist with analysis of reported production issues and respond to end users with defect resolution and/or manual workaround
• Understand customer needs and business demand and align necessary business analyst capacity and skills
• Gain knowledge of key business, technical, and project management functions
• Develop/maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders to gather information and understand stakeholder interests Location

Salary Range: $49,260.00 - $73,890.00 The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
