- Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Company: PREMIER Bankcard About the Role The Digital Platform Business Systems Analyst is the bridge between business needs and technical solutions. This role focuses on understanding business processes and translating them into system requirements that IT teams can design and implement. This role plays a key part implementing effective technology solutions to meet business objectives while supporting people, process, and technology transformation – ensuring alignment between organizational capabilities and digital platform strategy. The BSA leverages strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address challenges and serves as a bridge between business operations and technology solutions. - Support the organization’s strategic direction and digital platform roadmap by aligning business initiatives with organizational objectives and digital transformation strategies.
- Advance the maturity and optimization of digital capabilities across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions to understand business needs, challenges, and objectives.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize functional and technical requirements, translating business needs into detailed, actionable system requirements.
- Develop process flows, business cases, user stories, and supporting documentation.
- Analyze business processes, workflows, and operational challenges to identify inefficiencies, friction/pain points, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Recommend and support process standardization and optimization solutions based on industry best practices, business knowledge, and technology capabilities.
- Partner with technical teams to define system functionality, features, and solution requirements.
- Participate in solution design reviews and validation activities to ensure proposed solutions meet business objectives and operational needs.
- Build, test, and deploy agile business applications utilizing low-code/no-code platforms to rapidly deliver Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
- Support implementation activities including configuration, documentation, and user readiness.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria, and support system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Validate solutions against documented business requirements and quality standards, identifying, documenting, and supporting the resolution of defects and workflow issues.
- Contribute to training materials, operational procedures, and process documentation to improve solution adoption and efficiency.
- Partner with business and technology partners to understand needs and constraints, serving as a liaison between business units and technical teams.
- Provide clear documentation and presentations.
- Use data analysis and organization tools to identify impactful insights and present reports that support recommendations to team members and stakeholders. Skills and Qualifications
- Analytical thinking: Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to identify operational bottlenecks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with both non-technical and technical audiences. Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to build relationships, work cross-functionally and engage stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment and results.
- Stakeholder Management – Strong team-oriented approach with focus on partnership and shared success.
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Ability to evaluate situations, challenge assumptions, and develop effective, scalable solutions.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of operational processes and how technology enables business strategy and transformation initiatives.
- Platform/Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with platform capabilities and how systems integrate to support business processes.
- Practical experience with Pega Constellation architecture and the Pega Customer Service framework to guide out-of-the-box feature adoption.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT or related fields preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or functional consultant within a Pega environment.
- Pega Certified Business Architect (CBA) preferred; Certified System Architect (CSA) or Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) is a plus.
- 1 -2 years’ Banking/Financial industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of BPM methodologies, workflow optimization, and designing process maps, user personas, and low-fidelity UI wireframes.
- Knowledge of the Agile lifecycle, including managing product backlogs, writing detailed user stories with strict acceptance criteria, and leveraging JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Experience working collaboratively with both business stakeholders and IT teams.
- Experience with low-code/no-code platforms preferred.
- Exposure to business analysis, project delivery, process improvement, or system implementation activities. Competitive Benefits Package
