What you will do The Quality Control Engineer will monitor and audit manufactured goods and processes within the Value Stream and carry out all Quality Assurance functions. Will review documentation ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS), customer-approved procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Calibration, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WIs). Needs to work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements, maintain quality records, and communicate with customers and suppliers. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the Quality Management System (QMS), including administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of QT9.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and applicable local, state, and federal regulations affecting quality management systems and quality control processes.
- Monitor, evaluate, and oversee incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspection activities to ensure products and processes consistently meet quality standards.
- Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurrence of quality issues and drive operational excellence.
- Manage supplier quality activities, including supplier qualification, audits, returns, corrective actions, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Develop, review, maintain, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions (WIs), forms, and related QMS documentation.
- Train and support employees on new and revised quality, safety, and continuous improvement procedures, ensuring consistent implementation across the organization.
- Integrate and maintain quality, safety, and continuous improvement programs, procedures, and documentation within the QMS for local, regional, and affiliated entities.
- Oversee the disposition of nonconforming material, including evaluation of costs, responsibilities, and corrective measures.
- Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement by effectively communicating expectations and engaging employees at all organizational levels.
- Coach, counsel, and develop employees to support performance, accountability, and professional growth.
- Support and promote employee engagement in workplace safety initiatives and maintain effective emergency response programs, including drills and preparedness activities.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, audits, corrective actions, and other QMS activities.
- Prepare and submit reports on QMS performance, compliance, audit results, and key quality metrics for management and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain professional and technical expertise through continuous learning, industry research, professional associations, and relevant training opportunities. Requirements Position Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience in related field Area of Study Engineering and/or Chemical Sciences Specialized Training Certifications: Quality Certification (e.g., CQE, CQT, CQA, Lean/Six Sigma) are highly desirable. Experience (yrs) Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Quality role. Proven track record of successful implementation and maintenance QMS programs. Familiarity with risk assessment techniques and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Software/Applications
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Basic ability to create, use and retrieve project related information from ERP systems, QMS, Power BI, and scheduling software, etc. Other:

- Must have motivational skills and a strong passion to create a Quality & Continuous Improvement culture across all business
- units.
- Hands-on experience utilizing continuous improvement processes to drive improvements in KPI metrics.
- Must have the ability to travel 10-20% of the time as needed for business.
