With a strong focus on AI, ophthalmology, and clinical research , Remidio works with clinicians, researchers, and healthcare teams to develop and validate solutions that can make a meaningful impact on patient care. Role Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intern Optometrist to support our clinical research activities. The ideal candidate must have a background in Optometry and a strong interest in clinical research. The role will involve supporting research activities, patient interactions, data collection, field-based activities, and coordination with the clinical research team. Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of clinical research studies and related research activities.
- Support patient recruitment, screening, follow-up, and other study-related activities.
- Assist with the collection, recording, and management of clinical data while ensuring accuracy and adherence to study protocols.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support the smooth execution of research projects.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking study progress and report any issues or deviations to the relevant team members.
- Support study investigators and site staff during research activities and patient interactions.
- Assist in preparing project updates, reports, and research documentation.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of regulatory and study-related documents.
- Follow clinical research protocols, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate records while ensuring the confidentiality and security of patient and research data.
- Participate in field-based research activities as required. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Optometry or an equivalent Optometry qualification is mandatory.
- Freshers are welcome; candidates with academic projects, internships, or exposure to clinical research will be preferred.
- Basic understanding of optometry and clinical research processes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with patients and study teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to participate in field-based research activities.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office and data management tools.
- Strong interest in clinical research and willingness to learn.
