Job Description: This job is responsible for identifying and managing strategic initiatives designed to support and enhance the experience of the product or platform. Key responsibilities include overseeing client and business interactions, strategic planning, product development and can include technology initiatives. Job expectations include strong collaboration skills across executives or other partners and strategic analysis driven for innovation of new wealth management solutions for clients. Reporting to the Head of Asset Manager Relationships within Investment Products/Investment Solutions Group, the Senior Relationship Manager will be responsible for cultivating strong and productive relationships with third party managers to progress strategic priorities of Bank of America with an emphasis towards Global Wealth & Investment Management (GWIM) businesses. The role will be instrumental in working across the different channels within Bank of America, particularly GWIM, Consumer Banking, Global Banking and Global Markets to coordinate activities and broaden strategic relationships. Responsibilities:
- Drives investment products and strategies across investment solutions (mutual funds, SMAs, alternatives etc.) utilizing relationships across groups
- Identifies market trends and client needs to inform product positioning and enhancements
- Oversees client and business offerings to ensure product development and initiatives match client needs
- Provides strategic guidance on advisor tools, products, platforms and other investment related materials
- Collaborates with leadership members to educate advisors on offerings and enhance product adoption and engagement
- Uses strong communication skills both verbal and written to delivery clearly to wide audience from clients to executives
- Optimizes asset manager resources to drive growth for our firm with an emphasis on wealth management (GWIM)
- Strengthens strategic alignment and deepens partnerships with the firm's most important third-party asset manager relationships
- Cultivates and enhances senior-level relationships between internal stakeholders and executive leadership teams at partner asset management firms
- Ensures alignment of internal and external messaging so that asset manager partners consistently reinforce key objectives and priorities with advisors and clients
- Promotes adherence to GWIM policies, procedures, and governance standards, ensuring asset manager partners operate within established guidelines
- Partners closely with ISG Product, Specialist, CIO, and other key teams to support platform initiatives, product enhancements, and strategic programs involving asset manager partners
- Designs and executes cross-manager initiatives that leverage external expertise to advance GWIM strategic priorities and accelerate business growth
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives that enhance advisor engagement, client outcomes, and overall GWIM growth
- Partners across lines of business to maximize enterprise relationships with third-party asset management firms and identify opportunities for broader strategic collaboration Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in financial services industry
- Ability to manage multiple senior level relationships inside and outside the firm
- Prior experience working with asset managers
- Prior experience with Alternative Investments
- Broad knowledge of wealth management business
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and management skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks & initiatives
- Think strategically and be able to influence key stakeholders
- Attention to detail, ability to effectively follow up and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Ability and willingness for some travel Desired Qualifications:
