Head of Technology

• Professionalism: We strive for excellence in every moment. About the Role Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Technology will lead the technology that powers a market leading business. This is a rare opportunity to shape how Melbourne's premier real estate brand uses CRM, data, automation and AI to give our people a genuine edge. You'll lead a team of four: a CRM Business Analyst, a Senior Programmer, a Head of Digital and a Digital Marketing Specialist. You'll work alongside trusted IT, cyber security and development partners and act as the go to technology advisor across the business. You'll balance setting direction with delivery, working closely with your team to configure, build and improve the systems our people rely on every day. Technology is central to our future. This makes it an outstanding opportunity for an established technology leader, or for someone ready to step into their first Head of Technology role. Key Responsibilities Technology and AI
• Develop and deliver a practical technology and AI roadmap for Residential Sales, Project Marketing and Property Management.
• Lead the rollout of approved AI tools and maintain our AI governance framework.
• Build and deliver automations that save time and improve the client experience.
• Test emerging technology and bring practical recommendations to the CEO and leadership team. CRM and Core Platforms
• Manage our CRM and IntelAgent, the proprietary Marshall White platform, including its roadmap.
• Manage lead flow, portal integrations and listing feeds across advertising channels.
• Act as the technology lead for our sales, project marketing and property management systems.
• Drive adoption of CRM and sales tools across the agent group. Digital, Data and Reporting
• Oversee the marshallwhite.com.au platform and, through the Head of Digital, website content, search performance and user experience.
• Build reporting and dashboards that give leadership, sales and property management clear insight.
• Maintain data quality and governance across core systems. Partners, Risk and Budget
• Manage our IT, cyber security and development partners, acting as an advisory partner on security and service.
• Ensure our systems support privacy and compliance obligations, including AML.
• Manage the technology budget in partnership with the CFO and lead implementation of new systems. Leadership
• Lead and develop a talented team, working alongside them on delivery.
• Work closely with the Group Sales Director and teams across Marketing, People & Operations and Finance. Skills, Experience & Qualities
• At least 8 years in technology roles, with a track record of delivering business value through technology and data.
• Experience leading a small team and working with outsourced IT, security and development partners.
• Practical experience configuring systems, building integrations and automations, and working with data.
• Demonstrated experience managing a CRM or core business platform.
• Experience implementing AI tools and automation, with a clear view on governance and risk.
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure and cyber security.
• The ability to explain technology in plain terms and earn the confidence of senior leaders and agents.
• Commercially minded, curious and delivery focused: a technology partner, not a gatekeeper.
• A tertiary qualification in information technology, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
