Field Operations Supervisor

Description Job Overview Summary The Field Operations Supervisor is a traveling field leader who supports installation execution across Minuteman’s projects. Rotating between active sites, this role provides quality checks, site walks, surge installation support, and onsite subcontractor management to keep projects on schedule and built to standard. The Field Operations Supervisor acts as an extension of project leadership in the field, driving consistency across sites and helping Project Managers, Field Foremen, and Technicians resolve issues before they impact the customer. This role does not carry branch management or P&L responsibility. Travel is required approximately 80% of the time. What you’ll be doing (and doing well!): · Quality Assurance : Conduct scheduled and unannounced quality checks on data center projects to verify installations meet company standards, system design, manufacturer requirements, and customer specifications. Document findings and track corrective actions to closure. · Site Walks : Lead and participate in site walks with Project Managers, Field Foremen, general contractors, and customer representatives to assess progress, readiness, and punch list status. · Surge Support : Deploy to sites needing additional field leadership or hands-on installation support during critical phases, schedule recovery, or cutover. · Subcontractor Support : Coordinate subcontractors on site, verifying scope adherence, workmanship, manpower levels, and safety compliance. · Field Execution Support : Help Field Foremen break down scope, sequence work, and remove roadblocks. Troubleshoot complex installation, integration, and commissioning issues in real time. · Safety and Site Compliance : Enforce Minuteman and customer site requirements, including data center access protocols, badging, method of procedure (MOP) requirements, and work in live environments. · Standardization and Mentoring : Identify recurring issues and best practices across sites and share them to drive consistent execution. Coach and mentor Field Foremen and technicians. · Field Reporting : Provide clear, timely site reports to Project Managers and operations leadership on quality, progress, risks, and resource needs. · Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Travel Requirements: · Travel approximately 80% of the time to data center project sites, including overnight and multi-week stays. · Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or off-shifts to support project milestones and customer maintenance windows. What we like about you: · A Sense of humor, creativity, and positive attitude. · High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or industry certifications preferred. · 7+ years of experience in security system installation, including at least 3 years leading field teams or managing subcontractors. · Data center or mission-critical construction experience strongly preferred. · In-depth knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and network integration, with the ability to evaluate installation quality against system design. · Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, submittals, and scopes of work. · Strong communication skills and the confidence to hold subcontractors accountable while working effectively with general contractors and customers. · Working knowledge of jobsite safety practices; OSHA 30 preferred. · Multiple access control certifications and/or a master’s license preferred. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile field reporting tools. · Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to meet customer background check and site access requirements. Physical Activities/Demands: · Able to safely work at heights on ladders and aerial lifts. · Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs. · Must be comfortable standing and walking for long periods on large project sites and completing overhead work. · Must be able to travel by car and air, and have a current, valid driver’s license and the ability to meet our company driving standards. Pay Transparency Statement The base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $113,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
