Work Shift (if applicable): Shift 1 (United States of America) Job Description: Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our Coagulation Lab in Pittsburg. Salary : $32.17 / hour Schedule: Days PT 8:00 AM- 4:30PM (24 hours week-3 days/week) Future intent: Promote to Full time based on lab needs. - Recognition and perks As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to:
- Performs routine and specialized coagulation testing according to established laboratory procedures.
- Performs testing including PT/INR, aPTT, fibrinogen, D-dimer, and thrombin time .
- Performs and evaluates mixing studies and other follow-up testing for abnormal coagulation results.
- Performs coagulation factor assays and von Willebrand testing as applicable to laboratory services.
- Performs routine instrument maintenance, calibration, reagent preparation, and quality control. Requirements: Bachelor's Science degree required (Biology, Chemistry, etc). Lab experience preferred. Location: 875 Greentree Road
