We are looking for a Junior Legal Associate with a strong core understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and working knowledge of corporate and commercial legal matters . The candidate will assist in handling IP-related matters while also supporting the legal team on corporate, contractual, compliance, and general legal assignments. Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and assist with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) matters , which will be the primary area of responsibility.
  • Conduct legal research and provide support on trademarks, copyrights, patents, designs, licensing, assignments, and IP protection .
  • Assist with trademark/IP searches, filings, renewals, objections, oppositions, and related documentation.
  • Draft, review, and assist in negotiating commercial and IP-related agreements, including:
  • NDAs
  • Service Agreements
  • Licensing Agreements
  • IP Assignment Agreements
  • Vendor/Client Agreements
  • Consultancy Agreements
  • Other commercial contracts
  • Provide legal support on corporate matters , including basic corporate compliances, documentation, and Companies Act-related matters.
  • Assist in reviewing corporate and commercial contracts and identifying legal risks.
  • Support due diligence and preparation/review of corporate and legal documents.
  • Draft legal notices, replies, opinions, letters, and other legal correspondence under supervision.
  • Coordinate with external counsel, consultants, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain legal records, contract databases, and IP documentation.
  • Keep track of relevant developments in IP, corporate, and commercial laws . Requirements •

from a recognized institution.

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience; freshers with relevant internships may also apply.
  • Good working knowledge of:
  • Intellectual Property Laws
  • Corporate/Company Law
  • Contract Law
  • Commercial Agreements
  • Basic regulatory and compliance matters
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Preferred Skills
  • Prior internship or work experience in IP, corporate/commercial law, or in-house legal teams .
  • Familiarity with trademark and copyright filings and procedures .
  • Understanding of contract review and risk identification.
  • Ability to explain legal issues in clear, business-friendly language.
  • Basic knowledge of legal databases and online legal research tools.
