We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and hold a 4-year degree in Engineering or a related field. This role is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining quality standards. Under broad supervision, responsible for all phases of medium-scale assigned process or manufacturing improvement projects, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost. Implements process improvements to meet quality standards, performs feasibility studies and solves problems. Creates necessary documentation and aides in communication to personnel.
- Analyze, design, and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing workflows, equipment layouts, and process documentation.
- Design and implement fixtures, tooling, gauges, and manufacturing equipment.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and design engineers, to optimize operations.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and non-conformance issues.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and machinery to improve manufacturing capabilities.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Train production staff on best practices and new procedures.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report progress to management.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing data analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of safety and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
