Job Summary: Coordinate and supervise the daily business operations for the Wayne College Business Office. Assist students, staff, faculty, and community members int an efficient manner and aid other departments for all regional campuses with various projects, vents and tasks, including maintaining an events calendar. Essential Functions: 30% Create requisitions, On-Campus Order forms and Direct Pays. Review vendor contracts, registration, purchase orders, shipping services. Invoicing. Accounts payable. Accounts receivable. 25% Complete credit card purchases, approval for employees, credit card transaction review and sign off for all regional campus purchases. 15% Monitor Regional Campuses budgets including course fees, funding balances, accurate posted payments. Complete BA, New speedtype, Adjusting journal entry transfer requests. 10% Cashiering. Student account questions including payment information, payment plan sigh-up due dates, etc. Customer Service for students, staff, faculty, community members. 10% Answer phone. Filing system physical and electronic. Facilities forms process. Checking in packages and disbursing mail Campus Community questions/issues. 10% Interviewing, hiring, training and management of Business Office student workers. Maintain accurate paperwork and elibility for all Regional Campus Community questions/issues. Additional Position Information: Education: Requires high school diploma. Licenses/Certifications/Requirements: None Experience: Requires a minimum up to 2 years' experience in applying basic accounting and budgeting practices in an office environment. Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving and computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet and database capabilities required. Ability to perform various financial reporting duties and pay close attention to details required. Supervisory skills preferred. Leadership: Supervision over student and/or temporary workers. Physical Requirements: Job is physically comfortable; individual is normally seated and has discretion about walking, standing, etc. May occasionally lift very lightweight objects. Working Conditions: No major sources of working conditions discomfort, standard working environment with possible minor inconveniences due to occasional noise, crowded working conditions, minor heating/cooling or ventilation problems, and/or up to 40% use of PC terminal.
