This role is ideal for candidates who have completed an apprenticeship (EFZ) in electrical engineering, automation, or a related discipline and have gained 2–3 years of experience in engineering design or drafting. As part of our engineering team, you will create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for high-voltage GIS substation projects. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, project managers, and global engineering teams while developing your expertise in engineering standards, tools, and technologies. The role offers a clear development path towards greater technical ownership and responsibility within an international engineering environment. How you’ll make an impact

• Prepare schematics and related engineering documents for GIS secondary engineering scopes, including LCC and digital substation applications
• Support engineering execution across project phases, from base design and detail design through manufacturing documentation and as-built updates
• Create preliminary BOMs, reports, and manufacturing documents using approved engineering tools and standard processes
• Perform structured self-checks and contribute to technically correct, high-quality, and standard-compliant deliverables
• Support technical clarifications with internal stakeholders, project teams, and factories, and help document and close open points
• Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and engineering best practices, including participation in relevant expert communities
• Apply internal guidelines, engineering standards, and quality requirements while supporting safe and efficient project execution Your background
• Completed apprenticeship (EFZ) as an Electrical Draftsman, Automation Technician, Electrical Technician, or a comparable electrical engineering qualification
• 2–3 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design, drafting, automation, or engineering project execution
• Further education such as Technician School (HF), Technical College, or equivalent continuing education is preferred
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering may be considered, but this role is intentionally targeted at technicians and engineering professionals with hands-on design experience rather than advanced academic profiles
• Good understanding of electrical engineering principles and interest in high-voltage substations and GIS technology
• Ability to read, understand, and create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation
• Experience with CAD or engineering software is required
• Structured and reliable working style with attention to detail
• Good teamwork and communication skills
