As a Merchandising Intern, you will explore the core business and supporting functions including Category Management, Planning, Private Brands, and Revenue Management
- while using curiosity, digital fluency, financial acumen, and problem-solving skills to help address real business opportunities The Experience: The paid internship takes place during Summer 2027 and is designed for students entering their final year of college. You will gain practical experience, grow your professional network, develop in-demand skills, and help shape the future of merchandising at the world’s largest convenience retailer. What You’ll Do: You will build foundational knowledge across the Merchandising organization and see how decisions about products, pricing, planning, and supplier partnerships shape the customer experience and drive business results. During the internship, you will:
- Analyze product assortments, customer trends, and category performance to identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support high-impact merchandising initiatives.
- Track sales, margin, and other key performance indicators to uncover growth opportunities.
- Turn data into clear insights and recommendations that inform business and merchandising strategies. What you’ll bring:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, merchandising, finance, analytics, or a related field, with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills, with an interest in using data to make decisions.
- Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, stay organized, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset and the confidence to take ownership of projects while working across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Interest in retail, consumer behavior, category management, planning, or financial analysis. .
