SUMMARY As a Physician Assistant, your clinical skills and commitment to exceptional patient care will contribute to positive outcomes for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions. Join Rochester Regional Health's Interventional Pain & Spine team at Unity Hospital, where you will work alongside experienced physicians and advanced practice providers delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care through evaluation, treatment planning, and longitudinal management of complex pain disorders.   • Patient Care. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain and interpret medical histories, conduct physical examinations, develop differential diagnoses, formulate treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and coordinate care for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
  • Patient Education. Provide education and counseling regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and expectations for ongoing pain management. Promote patient understanding and engagement in treatment decisions.
  • Administrative Duties. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, complete required charting and orders, communicate effectively with referring providers, participate in care coordination activities, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.   • Certified Physician Assistant
  • National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), RPA

  • Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. PAY RANGE: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14626 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
