Nurse Educator is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff. The role ensures that nurses maintain clinical competence, comply with healthcare regulations, and deliver high-quality patient care. The Nurse Educator supports professional development, orientation programs, competency assessments, and continuous learning initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver orientation programs for newly hired nursing staff.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct clinical training sessions, workshops, and continuing education programs.
  • Assess the learning needs of nursing staff and design appropriate educational interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff competency through assessments, observations, and skills validation.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Develop educational materials, guidelines, and clinical competency checklists.
  • Support evidence-based nursing practice and promote quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional guidance to nurses and healthcare staff.
  • Maintain records of training activities, certifications, and competency assessments.
  • Participate in policy development and clinical practice improvements.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and enhance staff performance.
  • Stay updated with current nursing practices, healthcare trends, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (Master's Degree in Nursing Education is preferred).
  • Valid DOH/DHA/MOH nursing license or eligibility.
  • Certification in Nursing Education is an advantage.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred. Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in staff education, clinical training, or nursing instruction preferred.
  • Experience in hospital, rehabilitation, psychiatric, or healthcare settings is an advantage. Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to assess learning needs and develop training programs.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
