We encourage you to apply to become a part of our team. Description of Work The North Carolina Zoo is growing and it’s an exciting time to join our team! We are looking for a detail oriented and team-focused Revenue Services Lead for our Cash Operations department. This position provides daily functional leadership for cash-handling activities within the Revenue Services Office, including preparation and verification of daily deposits, change fund management, transaction documentation, and operational problem resolution. The position ensures workflows are accurate, timely, and compliant with established internal controls while supporting strong customer service and transaction integrity. The Revenue Services Lead trains permanent and temporary staff on cash operations procedures, assigns daily tasks, and provides technical guidance on POS related processes. This role also maintains close coordination with revenue-generating Zoo units and supports the Revenue Services Supervisor by ensuring consistent and reliable financial operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily cash-handling workflows, including deposit preparation, transaction verification, and required documentation.
  • Manage and distribute change funds for Admissions, Attractions, Food Service, the Zoo Society, and other revenue-generating operations.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies or customer issues involving cash, check, or credit card transactions, coordinating with banks or DNCR as needed.
  • Provide operational POS support by assisting with troubleshooting, validating reports, and ensuring accurate cashier-related system entries.
  • Train Specialists, Representatives, and Associates in cash-handling procedures, internal controls, and workflow expectations.
  • Assign tasks, monitor workload, and support temporary and seasonal staff performing revenue-related duties.
  • Support reservations operations as needed during peak periods or staffing shortages.   • Experience leading or coordinating cash-handling operations in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong proficiency with point-of-sale systems, financial reporting tools, or operational data reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve customer transaction issues with clarity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or a related field. Position/Physical Requirements

Section/Unit Description The Revenue Services Office is part of the NC Zoo Business Services section and is responsible for managing and safeguarding Zoo revenue through accurate cash-handling operations, transaction processing, point‑of‑sale system oversight, and efficient delivery of group reservations and related services. The unit ensures reliable financial controls, supports customer transactions, and provides coordinated administrative services that directly support the Zoo’s daily operations.
