Realty Specialist

Summary As a Realty Specialist, you will serve as a senior technical specialist for the realty services program, providing key input to the development of business practices. Location of position: Public Buildings Service, Office of Realty and Lease Acquisition. Positions may be filled in any of the listed locations. We are currently filling two vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. Duties Provides expert technical advice on specific tasks, furnishing written instructions, reference materials and relevant background material to associates; maintains current knowledge and answers questions from associates on procedures, policies and directives, obtaining information from the supervisor regarding final decisions on major problems and issues that arise. Provides leadership, guidance, assistance, and advice on current procedures and practices to internal customers and stakeholders. Maintains a working knowledge of public laws, Executive orders, regulations and directives related to realty services programs. Provides critical analyses of pressing issues and required procedural recommendations to management officials in formulating decisions regarding changing responsibilities or business needs, as well as in the design/development and evaluation of ongoing and/or new program issues. Writes or collaborates with others on the development of responses to controversial issues. Makes adjustments in work assignments in accordance with established priorities and fluctuating workload, obtaining assistance from the supervisor only on major issues or problems which may arise. The GS-14 salary range starts at $127,829 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is planning the scope and direction of lease acquisition programs and performing real estate functions in three or more of the following: Lease acquisition, Development of leasing guidance, Lease acquisition interpretation and training, Lease acquisition process improvement, Lease acquisition project management, and/or Implementation of leasing systems.
