Description Summary: Reporting to the VP/GM, qualified candidate coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of assigned company customers and programs. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates preparation of proposals, plans, specifications and financial conditions of contracts
- Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules
- Develops solutions to program problems to assure programs are completed within time and budget constraints
- Prepares reports for senior management to track progress and goals
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of programs utilizing a wide degree of creativity and independent judgment.
- Ensure strict adherence to aerospace industry quality management systems, safety regulations, and government export control laws (such as ITAR/EAR). Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related technical field.
- 6 to 10+ years of project or program management experience within the aerospike, defiance or high-tech manufacturing industries.
- Experience with complex multi-year programs involving Military Contractors or subcontract providers. Manufacturing experience preferred. Skills and Abilities:
- Strong negotiating skills and tenacity in managing both people and programs
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
- Detail oriented with effective organization skills and ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to translate complex technical problems into basic terms both verbally and in written form
- Ability to read and interpret technical data packages, drawings and schematics
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within DoD environment
- Strong computer skills with EXCEL and
Power Point
- Ability to communicate in a cross-functional production environment
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Working Environment:
- Extended periods of sitting and standing
- Constant access to production floor
- Constant use of computer and monitor
