IT Asset Manager Location: Huntingdon UK Clearance

• High DV Developed Vetting IT Asset Manager is an integral member of the Service Management team (ITAM Team) and provides consistent & efficient management of Assets within the service for Leidos customers. The Asset Manager will be responsible for all IT assets, documentation, due diligence activities, interfacing with other departments to maintain alignment and resolve issues and managing key IT asset resources.
• Reporting into the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) and ITAM Team lead to ensure the HAM service model is fit for operational purpose, support and management (maintainable and adaptable) and in line with the Customer and Leidos Configuration Management strategy.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in managing hardware, software, and network components over the life cycle.
• Documentation and Reporting: Ensure precise documentation and regular reporting on asset management activities.
• Agile Knowledge: Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) to efficiently work within an agile environment.
• Asset Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all IT assets, ensuring compliance with ITIL standards.
• Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence activities to ensure full lifecycle compliance and efficiency of IT asset management.
• Inter-departmental Coordination: Interface with other departments to ensure alignment and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Manage, monitor, and report on the status of the IT asset management program.
• Optimization: Develop and implement strategies for optimizing the IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Interface with customer and stakeholders to ensure that requirements are met and issues are addressed efficiently.
• Collaborating with Programme or Project Management and Leidos procurement to ensure the identification and managed introduction of new or replacement Assets and Configuration Items.
• Working closely with the Service Operations team to ensure that implemented or changed services are capable of delivering to target service levels and performance indicators.

Your Key Skills and Experience

You will have experience in managing IT Assets within enterprise environments. Good understanding of the IT technologies infrastructure components and business processes. Highly experienced and qualified in-service management frameworks (ITIL) and their practical implementation with regard to Asset Management. The Asset Manager must have:

• Knowledge of Hardware Asset Management concepts and techniques.
• An operational understanding of supply chains.
• Experience of Hardware Asset Management for major IT systems and services.
• Experience of supporting Hardware Asset Management activities and delivering and maintaining Assets and Service Configurations for customers.
• The ability to write coherent, concise, and readable technical documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of developing service-based process and procedures in a commercial environment.
• Experience of driving through service improvement activities.
• Understanding of how technology, process, tools and people combine together to provide effective Hardware Asset Management solutions.
• Experience in selecting and applying Hardware Asset Management principles, policies and techniques in client operational environments.
• The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines; with a flexible and pragmatic approach.
• Awareness and understanding of Change and Problem Management, maintaining Service Levels, ITSCM and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
• Excellent verbal communication skills including presenting.
