Description Supervise Operation Associates daily responsibilities ensuring all operational goals are achieved for output, quality, safety, housekeeping and communications. Direct responsibilities for Operations Associate performance, training, and adherence to company policies. It is servicing the growth needs of the U.S. power generating fleet to comply with increasingly stringent environmental regulations in a cost-effective way. CORMETECH has fully dedicated, state-of-the art manufacturing facilities, research and development centers and testing laboratories in Charlotte (NC), Cleveland (TN), Durham (NC), and Kings Mountain (NC). All full-time employees are eligible for benefits on day one of employment! Summary: Essential Duties:
- Administer disciplinary documentation and procedures as necessary.
- Manage daily inventory including raw materials to ensure adequate supply for production. Recognize employees for jobs well done; motivate team.
- Recognize employees for jobs well done; motivate team.
- Maintain all safety and housekeeping requirements and ISO quality standards.
- Timely report and investigate all accidents and incidents.
- Maintain all employee time tracking including holidays, unpaid time, absences, and paid time off.
- Coordinate the daily activities of the department ensuring maximum efficiency by maximizing utilization of labor, equipment capacity, and materials.
- Ensure the team is trained by assessing team members training needs and completing required training in a timely manner.
- Identify and manage department staffing needs including overtime management.
- Provide recommendations for OA performance reviews.
- Review OA performance and pay for performance certifications.
- Assign duties and follow up to ensure completion.
- Facilitate shift/department meetings.
- Startup equipment and shut down when a safety concern arises that merits the shutdown. What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Science, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent experience
- Good leadership and managerial capabilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to coach and provide constructive feedback and instructions to others.
- Exercise independent judgment in making sound decisions.
- Good computer skills in MS Word and Excel
- Ability to work efficiently independently and cooperatively on a team.
- Strong written and oral communication skills What Skills and Knowledge We Prefer:
- Prior team leadership experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Manufacturing experience
- Forklift experience Additional Duties:
- Special projects as assigned Requirements Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift push, pull, and carry 25 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Physical mobility and agility due to exposure to prolonged physical activity (for example, twelve-hour shifts) required.
- Mechanical noise
- Dusty and dirty work environment due to materials and raw materials
- Varying temperatures from warm to cool
- May require working in a rotating shift environment including weekends and holidays Work Schedule
