Job Description: Tech Services Summer 2027 Internship About Walbec Group Walbec is an industry leader in producing high-quality construction materials and delivering professional design, engineering, and construction services through its six companies: Payne and Dolan, Northeast Asphalt, Zenith Tech, Parisi, Premier Concrete, and Construction Resources Management. Our vertically integrated operations include mining, crushing and washing aggregates, and producing concrete and hot-mix asphalt. Whether building roadways and bridges, stabilizing shorelines, rehabilitating structures, supplying essential construction materials, or providing site engineering and construction solutions for solar projects, Walbec is your bridge to expertise in construction and engineering. With safety and ethics at the core of everything we do, our experienced professionals are hard at work on commercial and industrial sites throughout the Midwest. The Position:
- Prepare testing information, project plans and field materials.
- Assist with maintaining testing records and project closeout documentation.
- Enter and submit testing data into DOT databases as required.
- Help coordinate training and certifications for field technicians.
- Assist with preparing and updating QC plans, manuals and training materials.
- Organize and maintain electronic QC files and project records.
- Support Project Managers and field technicians with testing data, questions and daily requests.
- Assist with scheduling, incentive/disincentive tracking, fleet administration and other Technical Services needs. Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Self-starter and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
