About the role We are looking for a Business Controller to join our team and provide high-quality financial and business insights across selected areas of the organisation. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset, works effectively with business stakeholders, and translates financial data into clear recommendations that support informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities

  • preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for selected business areas
  • monitoring financial performance and explaining key variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods
  • preparing management reports, analyses, and presentations for business stakeholders and group reporting purposes
  • providing financial insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • partnering with business leaders to monitor key performance indicators and identify risks and opportunities
  • conducting profitability analyses across products, customers, projects, and distribution channels
  • supporting working capital and cash flow analysis and monitoring fixed-asset-related data
  • supporting period-end closing, data consolidation, and recurring reporting processes
  • ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of financial data and reports
  • participating in cross-functional projects and preparing business cases and financial evaluations
  • improving controlling and reporting processes, tools, and data quality
  • working closely with accounting, finance, and business teams, as well as supporting cooperation with auditors when required Formal Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in business and/or financial controlling, financial analysis, or a similar role
  • A university degree, preferably in management accounting, finance and accounting, economics, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting
  • A good command of English, both written and spoken
  • ACCA or CIMA qualifications, completed or in progress, would be an advantage Keys to success
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence in working with large volumes of data
  • The ability to interpret financial results, identify business drivers, and formulate actionable recommendations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP, reporting, or business intelligence tools would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
