San Antonio) (210) 920-8051 | reallifeco.org River City Community Church is seeking a spiritually mature Christian leader, to oversee Real Life Community Outreach, a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to ministering to the community through food and clothing assistance, vocational training, and wrap-around care. Real Life Community Outreach operates out of the Real Life Compassion Center, a new 12,000 square foot food assistance warehouse and welcome center which will serve as the hub of operations and the point of connection to the community. About River City Community Church and Real Life Community Outreach River City Community Church was started in 1995 as a small group in the home of Sean and Lauri Azzaro. Today it is a thriving Christian church with an average attendance of 1,500 people and 70 small groups. It oversees two subsidiary organizations; River City Believers Academy and Real Life Community Outreach. RCBA is a PreK – 12th grade private Christian school with an enrollment of 200 students. Real Life Community Outreach distributes 1,000,000 pounds of food annually, and in addition, vocation training, and other support classes and programs. The mission of Real Life Community Outreach is to, “Serve our community with compassion, providing support and opportunities which empower people to better their lives.” Job Summary The Executive Director of Real Life Community Outreach will steward an exciting opportunity to lead and advance the organization, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to extend its mission of compassionate community service. The ideal candidate will possess a pastor's heart, desiring to see faith expressed through excellent ministry with the goal of compassionate care and changed lives. The Executive Director will ensure the organization’s long-term sustainability through effective fundraising, sound financial management, strategic planning, and program excellence. This position reports to the Board of Directors and will collaborate closely with program directors, staff, volunteers, and community partners, including River City Community Church. Primary Responsibilities Fundraising & Development

• Design and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to achieve annual revenue goals.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporate sponsors, churches, and community partners.
• Partner with the Board of Directors to actively engage them in fundraising activities. Financial Management & Budget Oversight
• Develop and manage the annual operating budget.
• Monitor financial performance and provide timely, accurate reports to the Board. Operations & Administration
• Provide operational leadership and oversight across all functions, including coordination with program directors.
• Build and refine organizational infrastructure, policies, and procedures to support growth and sustainability.
• Recruit, manage, and evaluate staff and volunteers, fostering professional growth and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, financial, and regulatory requirements, including 501(c)(3) standards.
• Oversee facilities, technology systems, and administrative operations.
• Promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture rooted in faith-based values. Strategic Planning & Governance
• Collaborate with the Board of Directors to define strategic priorities, such as expanding partnerships with businesses, churches, and organizations.
• Track and evaluate progress toward strategic objectives, ensuring accountability and results. Programming & Mission Delivery
• Design, launch, and oversee programs that reflect organizational values and advance the mission, including food and clothing assistance, vocational training, and wrap around services.
• Identify opportunities for program innovation, expansion, and continuous improvement to better serve low-income families and youth in challenging environments.
• Represent the organization as its primary spokesperson, strengthening visibility and credibility in the San Antonio region.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, volunteers, peer organizations, and faith communities. Required Qualifications
• A devote Christian believer who adheres to the Bible and sees their nonprofit work as a ministry.
• Ability to serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the organization’s mission.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff, volunteers, and community partners.
• Ability to set and achieve revenue goals through fundraising and development.
• Experience in strategic planning, program development, and organizational growth.
• Strong engagement and networking skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including faith-based communities. Preferred Qualifications
• Five years of leadership experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or community outreach.
• Established relationships with philanthropic, community, or faith-based organizations in San Antonio or Texas.
• Demonstrated success in board relations and governance.
• Strong cultural competency with the ability to engage effectively with diverse, low-income communities.
