Description Established in 1972, Mount Vernon School serves over 1,250 students in Preschool through Grade 12 on our 40-acre Atlanta campus. The Brand Team serves the entire Mount Vernon Organization, including the School, MVSO

  • the Virtual Global Campus, and Ventures
  • the educational consultancy. The team includes the Chief Brand Development Officer, Director of Web Development & Digital Experience, 2 Graphic Designers, Brand Content & Production Specialist, and Made in MV Store Manager, each contributing to strategic storytelling, visual design, and digital engagement. Highly collaborative and primarily in-person, with some hybrid flexibility, the team leverages digital tools and frequent touchpoints to produce an incredible number of high-quality assets that elevate the Mount Vernon identity. The Role The Brand Content & Production Specialist is a highly organized, hands-on member of the Mount Vernon Brand team responsible for bringing the brand to life across social media, photography and print. Working across Mount Vernon School (MVS), Mount Vernon School Online (MVSO), and Mount Vernon Ventures, this role manages content calendars, coordinates photography, publishes social content and oversees all in-house and external print production from approved creative through final delivery. With two graphic designers already on the Brand team, this position serves as the content and production engine that moves ideas from planning to execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized and who knows how to make things happen. They can build a content calendar, coordinate a photographer, publish a Reel, organize a photo library, review a print proof and communicate with a vendor, all while keeping projects on schedule and the brand experience consistent. Responsibilities Social Media & Content Planning
  • Build and maintain social media content calendars for MVS, MVSO and Ventures.
  • Plan and coordinate content across Instagram and other relevant platforms.
  • Schedule and publish Reels, Stories, grid posts, carousels and other social content.
  • Partner with Brand team members and internal stakeholders to identify stories, events, people and experiences to capture and share.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to develop social assets from campaigns and content ideas.
  • Prepare posts for publication, including captions, links, tags, hashtags and calls to action.
  • Monitor published content for accuracy, quality and brand alignment.
  • Track basic social performance metrics and use insights to inform future content planning.
  • Stay current on Instagram features, trends and best practices. Photography Coordination & Content Capture
  • Own planning and coordination of photography needs across MVS, MVSO and Ventures.
  • Maintain an annual photography calendar aligned with admissions, marketing, storytelling, events and organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate photographers, locations, schedules, participants, permissions and other shoot logistics.
  • Develop photography briefs and shot lists for key campaigns, events and storytelling opportunities.
  • Ensure photography reflects Mount Vernon’s brand, values and visual standards.
  • Identify opportunities to capture authentic, timely imagery for social media, website storytelling, admissions and marketing.
  • Coordinate delivery, organization and archiving of photography assets.
  • Maintain an accessible, searchable photo library and proactively identify gaps that require new photography.
  • When appropriate, capture basic mobile photography and video for timely social storytelling. Print Production & Vendor Management
  • Weekly hands on print production using in-house printers and cutters to produce various jobs from posters, flyers, booklets, postcards, etc.
  • Manage all print projects from approved creative through final delivery.
  • Partner with graphic designers to ensure files are properly prepared for production.
  • Obtain estimates and coordinate specifications with print and production vendors for any job that is outside the specs of our in-house capabilities..
  • Manage materials, quantities, finishing, timelines, shipping and delivery.
  • Coordinate proofs, revisions and approvals and conduct quality control before final production.
  • Maintain production schedules and proactively communicate potential delays or issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with outside printers and production vendors.
  • Identify opportunities to improve print quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Brand & Creative Production
  • Serve as the Brand team’s production partner, helping move projects from concept through completion.
  • Help translate campaigns into coordinated social, photography and print executions.
  • Ensure content and production materials follow Mount Vernon brand standards.
  • Coordinate information, assets and approvals from internal stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Support admissions, philanthropy, communications, events and other organizational priorities as needed. Core Competencies
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, quality control and follow-through.
  • Strong written communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with creative teams, internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Working knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar creative tools; familiarity with InDesign and print-production workflows is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling and publishing platforms, analytics and digital asset libraries.
  • Ability to cultivate respectful and affirming environments
  • Experience with Monday.com or another project-management platform is a plus.
  • Experience with basic photography and video production is a plus.
  • Experience in fiery, or other print production software is a plus.
  • A strong understanding of brand standards, content strategy and how visual storytelling can support organizational goals. Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, content production, social media, print production, or a related field.
  • Experience managing social media calendars and publishing content across Instagram, including Reels, Stories, feed posts, and carousels.
  • Experience coordinating photography, photographers, and photo shoots, with an understanding of visual storytelling and content capture.
  • Experience managing print production from approved creative through final delivery, including working with external vendors, proofs, specifications, and timelines.
  • Experience working in education, nonprofit, agency, lifestyle, or another mission-driven organization is a plus.
