Regular or Temporary: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: The Claims Principal handles the claims' function, ensuring accurate and efficient claims handling, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance across the program. This role will handle professional liability claims and requires experience with claims-made forms and policies. This role sets policies, drives process improvements, and partners with senior leaders to optimize claims strategies that align with organizational objectives and enhance customer experience.   • Handle high-complexity and high-value claims from intake through resolution.
  • Conduct comprehensive coverage analysis and determine liability exposure. ​​• Develop and implement strategic claims policies and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant claims handling.
  • Collaborate with executive management to align claims strategies with business objectives and financial goals.
  • Analyze claims data to identify trends, mitigate risk, and recommend process enhancements or system improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and company standards regarding claims practices.
  • Drive innovation in claims processes through the evaluation and adoption of technology and automation solutions.​

Education and Experience

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ​​• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Law, or related field.

  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in claims management or insurance operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams and managing enterprise-wide claims strategy.
  • Proven track record of adjusting professional liability claims on "claims made" forms and policies, regulatory compliance, and risk management issues.​ CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS ​​• CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) certification preferred.
  • State-specific claims adjusting license may be required depending on jurisdiction.​

This is an in-office opportunity, though full-time remote work may be available depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and fit for the role.
