Power BI Developer — Analytics and Reporting

Job Description- 6 8+ years in business intelligence and analytics, including hands-on Power BI development and experience with Microsoft Fabric semantic models Role Description Delivers the analytics, reporting, and visualization layer that sits over the governed Fabric data products, turning modeled data into certified reports, dashboards, and self-service datasets for business stakeholders. The developer works alongside the Fabric Data Engineer and under the direction of the Fabric and Purview Architect, ensuring reporting is built on trusted, governed sources rather than ad hoc extracts. Key Responsibilities Design and build Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports aligned to prioritized business use cases. Develop and optimize Power BI and Fabric semantic models, including measures, calculation groups, hierarchies, and relationships using DAX. Build reports directly on Fabric OneLake, lakehouses, warehouses, and Direct Lake datasets. Implement row-level and object-level security and align reporting access with Entra ID and workspace governance. Establish certified datasets, shared semantic models, and reusable reporting standards to support self- service analytics. Optimize model performance, refresh, and capacity utilization across Fabric and Power BI workspaces. Implement sensitivity labels, endorsement, and governed distribution through apps and workspaces. Integrate reporting outputs with Microsoft 365, Teams, and embedded scenarios where required. Support deployment pipelines, source control, and lifecycle management for Power BI artifacts. Produce report documentation, data dictionaries, and user enablement materials.
