Program Overview Brown Advisory is seeking motivated, team-oriented students to join us for an 8-week, on-site Summer Analyst Programme based in our London office from 14th June through 6th August 2027. The programme is designed to provide broad exposure to the investment management industry and the opportunity to learn from colleagues across the firm. Our immersive programme is designed to build your analytical, strategic, and communication skills through global orientation, dedicated training, and meaningful project work. Throughout the summer, you’ll gain exposure to a variety of teams, including Equity Research, Private Client, Sustainability, Fixed Income, Institutional Sales, Compliance, and Legal. By collaborating with colleagues across the firm, you’ll develop a holistic understanding of how an investment management firm operates and delivers long-term value to clients. You’ll also have opportunities to engage with senior management, attend and present in meetings, and build relationships with colleagues and fellow Summer Analysts through a variety of networking and social events. • Participate in portfolio management activities across a range of client portfolios, each tailored to the customised investment objectives and parameters of the client.
• Perform analysis of existing and prospective client investment portfolios and help create client-specific materials and reports.
• Conduct research and due diligence on external managers and new investment strategies.
• Prepare investment analysis, research notes and presentation materials to support investment decision-making.
• Present research findings or investment recommendations to members of the Portfolio Management team.
• Undertake an individual project culminating in a presentation to the investment team or wider London office.
• Attend investment manager due diligence and Investment Committee meetings.
• Help prepare for client portfolio review meetings.
• Help monitor global markets and client investments. Applicant Requirements:
• Currently studying for a bachelor’s degree, in their penultimate year, or a master’s degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, research and quantitative skills.
• A passion for client service and investments.
• Intellectual curiosity, initiative and a willingness to ask thoughtful questions.
• Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and work both independently and within a small team environment.
• Ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion.
