• Middle (One Year Only 26-27 School Year) Job Description: Facilitates an innovative classroom environment for students to construct their own learning opportunities using design thinking, engineering, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, and communication. Collaborates with other STEM and content-area teachers to authentically integrate multiple disciplines (topics such as alternative energy, robotics, mechanics, and social innovation). Understanding of problem-based learning and the ability to measure student growth in nontraditional ways.

• Occasional bending or squatting Position Specific Information (if Applicable): This job would entail 5 class periods of STEM, one advisement period, and 2 planning periods. This job is for the second half of the 2026/2027 school year. Responsibilities: --- Collaborate with other STEM and content area teachers to integrate and support all contents. --- Collaborate with students to design project-based assessments. --- Facilitate learning opportunities that measure and integrate creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, communication, problem solving, global awareness and other 21st century skills. --- Facilitate technology, design thinking applications, social innovation applications. --- Differentiate instruction and learning opportunities to meet the needs of all learners. DCSD will award up to 7 years of previous licensed teaching experience at the time of hire.
