Low Voltage Design Technician 1

Description EwingCole is a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm with offices across the country. We are seeking an Low Voltage Design Technician 1 to join our Philadelphia or Wayne office. The Low Voltage Design Technician 1 performs project design, documentation and coordination of Low Voltage (Telecom, Security and AV) Systems under the supervision of the Electrical Engineer, Senior/Project Engineer, Project Low Voltage Designer or Senior Project Low Voltage Designer. This position supports the team while building foundational technical knowledge. Essential Functions:

• Documentation: Develops clear drawings and documentation including documenting existing conditions and assisting in the layout of Low Voltage (Telecom, Security and AV) Systems
• Software: Demonstrates aptitude in the use of the necessary software to complete tasks
• Building Technology: Actively acquire knowledge of technical terms and concepts
• Project Delivery: Supports the project team in the delivery of project documentation
• Quality Standards: Actively acquire knowledge of production and delivery standards
• Sustainability: Develops understanding of sustainable concepts
• Construction Administration: Gains exposure by participating in submittal reviews and site visits
• Calculations: Performs engineering calculations under close supervision Requirements
• Minimum of an Associate’s degree or technical school certification in a related field
