Technical Officer -Stock Pre Positioning – EPIC Global Health Security- Mozambique Job Code: TECH 31018 Job Family: Technical Compensation Band: KK Job Summary: The EpiC Global Health Security (GHS) project supports Mozambique to strengthen systems for the prevention, detection, and response to infectious disease threats. A key component of operational readiness is ensuring that critical outbreak response commodities are appropriately quantified, procured, tracked, positioned, and rapidly deployed when needed. The Technical Officer Stock Pre Positioning will support implementation of activities related to emergency preparedness commodities, operational readiness, and outbreak response logistics under the EpiC Global Health Security project in Mozambique. Working closely with MISAU, INS, provincial authorities, RTC, and other partners, the Technical Officer will support commodity quantification, stock monitoring, deployment planning, and operational readiness activities. The Technical Officer Stock Pre Positioning will be based in Maputo and will report to the Global Health Security Expert. Accountabilities: Emergency Commodity Planning and Quantification

• Support quantification exercises for priority outbreak response commodities.
• Assist in defining commodity requirements for priority public health threats and emergency response activities.
• Support forecasting and planning processes for emergency preparedness commodities and equipment.
• Contribute to development and refinement of quantification tools and methodologies. Commodity Tracking and Operational Readiness
• Establish and maintain systems for tracking project-supported emergency response commodities.
• Monitor stock levels, storage locations, expiry dates, and availability of priority commodities.
• Maintain inventory records and routine stock status reports.
• Support identification of commodity gaps and replenishment needs. Stock Positioning and Emergency Deployment
• Support positioning and movement of emergency commodities based on risk and preparedness priorities.
• Assist in planning and coordination of commodity deployment during outbreaks.
• Track commodity movements and utilization during emergency responses.
• Support development of procedures and tools for rapid deployment. Coordination and Capacity Strengthening
• Work closely with MISAU, INS, RTC, provincial authorities, and project teams.
• Participate in technical working groups and preparedness coordination meetings.
• Support training and mentoring on emergency commodity management and operational readiness.
• Document lessons learned and recommendations. Applied Knowledge & Skills:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in public health, Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Health Systems Management, Emergency Management, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience:
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in public health, emergency preparedness, outbreak response, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Previous professional experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private company.
• Experience supporting government health systems, preferably in Mozambique.
• Experience managing health commodities, laboratory commodities, emergency supplies, or related resources. Typical Physical Demands:

• Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screens and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

• 60% The expected hiring salary range for this role is USD 34,000
• 43,000 for annual basic salary.
