• Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and power systems. They ensure the availability, reliability, and security of data center operations, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance to support business needs and implement best practices Essential Job Functions
• Design and build infrastructure solutions based on the design provided by the Infrastructure Architect. - (10%)
• Define and measure KPIs to track performance across infrastructure systems. - (10%)
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of infrastructure components. - (10%)
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure and configure hardware and software components. - (10%)
• Provide inputs around configuration management, storage equipment management, rack design etc. for technical engineering activities. - (10%)
• Lead the transition of infrastructure solutions into production services and ops. - (10%)
• Collaborate with the plan/build team to ensure successful deployment and integration of infrastructure components. - (10%)
• Provide Level 3 engineering support during the transition and deployment phases. - (10%)
• Develop optimization strategies, including automation / AI workflows to enhance infrastructure efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. - (10%)
• Assist in the implementation of infrastructure automation initiatives, leveraging tools and tech to automate infrastructure deployment, configuration and management. - (10%) Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in Systems Administration or Engineering. Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications like Azure Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are a plus
• 3-5 years of experience in solution design and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with infrastructure service catalog management is good to have. Skills
