Amentum is seeking a Senior Integrated Master Scheduler to support a mission-focused program at Fort Meade, Maryland. In this role, you will develop, maintain, analyze, and report the program’s resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Supporting DISA, Amentum’s Intel and Cyber Division is expanding a proven team of highly skilled engineers and architects to design, deploy, and sustain an innovative IT enterprise solution. The successful candidate will integrate program plans, work breakdown structures, resources, milestones, dependencies, and performance data into a logic-driven schedule that enables leadership to monitor execution, assess risk, manage dependencies, and make informed decisions. The role requires close coordination with program management, technical leads, functional teams, and Government stakeholders. Our team delivers secure, mission-critical capabilities where system integrity and rapid deployment are paramount. We are seeking a Senior Integrated Master Scheduler who combines meticulous organizational discipline with strategic foresight. In this role, you will lead efforts to establish and maintain highly efficient agile execution in a rapidly evolving operational environment. Success requires the ability to navigate complex, cross-functional dependencies independently while fostering collaborative solutions across integrated engineering teams. To excel, you must possess a proactive leadership mindset and the agility to rapidly master and govern the delivery of next-generation systems and services. Work Schedule: 8 Hours per day, Monday thru Friday Essential Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Integrated Master Scheduler include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop, maintain, and update the program’s baseline and forecast Integrated Master Schedule using Microsoft Project or an approved scheduling tool.
- Build and maintain a logically networked, resource-loaded schedule that includes all authorized program work, including both discrete tasks and level-of-effort activities.
- Decompose program work into measurable, manageable activities with appropriate durations, logic ties, dependencies, milestones, resource assignments, and status methods.
- Ensure schedule traceability to the program Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), data dictionary, charge-code structure, contract requirements, and applicable program-management artifacts.
- Establish and maintain schedule baselines, forecasts, calendars, coding structures, and configuration-control processes.
- Conduct monthly schedule updates and prepare recurring IMS reports for program leadership and Government stakeholders.
- Analyze critical and near-critical paths, total float, schedule margin, milestone performance, dependencies, constraints, overdue activities, and forecast impacts.
- Identify schedule risks, issues, and emerging execution concerns; develop actionable mitigation options with responsible functional leads.
- Perform schedule-health assessments and recommend corrective actions to improve schedule logic, realism, completeness, and forecast credibility.
- Support program reviews, integrated product team meetings, status meetings, milestone reviews, and planning events by providing current schedule data, analyses, and clear, actionable briefings.
- Coordinate schedule inputs across technical, operational, logistics, staffing, and management functions; resolve schedule conflicts and integration issues.
- Ensure IMS products conform to applicable contract data-item requirements and program standards, including requirements associated with Integrated Program Management reporting, as applicable.
- Support development and maintenance of schedule documentation, including basis-of-estimate information, schedule narratives, assumptions, data dictionaries, change logs, and reporting procedures.
- Mentor program personnel on schedule discipline, status collection, dependency management, and schedule-quality practices.
- Employee will work in a SCIF on a daily basis. Minimum Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience serving as the primary or senior scheduler responsible for an IMS that integrates multiple workstreams, organizations, dependencies, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, including resource loading, fixed-work task types, schedule baselining, logic development, critical-path analysis, calendars, constraints, custom fields, coding, and reporting.
- Working knowledge of WBS development and maintenance; schedule traceability; baseline control; risk management; milestone management; and cost, schedule, and performance integration.
- Experience applying IMS principles consistent with DI-MGMT-81861 Format 6 / comparable Integrated Program Management reporting requirements and MIL-STD-881 work-breakdown-structure practices.Experience aligning Microsoft Project and Jira data to connect IMS activities, milestones, dependencies, and status with Agile work items and program execution reporting.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills, with a track record of resolving cross-team conflicts, removing organizational impediments, and driving collaborative solutions.
- Ability to support non-standard hours, including scheduled maintenance windows, deployment surges, and emergency planning sessions.
- Ability to travel up to 10%. Security Clearance Required: Must have active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, systems engineering, information technology, or a related discipline. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum Years of Experience: Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated program schedules for complex Government, defense, technology, systems integration, engineering, or similarly complex programs.At least five years of experience serving as the lead or primary scheduler for a resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedule. Preferred Certifications and Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)
- AACE Earned Value Professional (EVP), or comparable certification.
- Demonstrated experience applying GAO, DCMA, or equivalent schedule-quality and schedule-health assessment practices.
- Active DoD 8140/8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) to meet secure environment requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, or comparable reporting and collaboration tools.
- Experience conducting or supporting schedule-risk assessments and implementing risk-informed mitigation actions.
- Experience integrating schedule data with earned value management, cost reporting, integrated baseline reviews, or similar performance-management processes.
