Your Role

Our Cloud, Platform & Reliability Engineering Consultants sit within AI & Digital Factory, part of the Business Technology practice in Capgemini Invent, which leads digital transformation projects across Capgemini. We are a dynamic community that values innovation, professional development, and the ability to make a real difference for our clients. As one of our engineers, you’ll work across one or more of the following disciplines: cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). As an engineer in our Cloud Team, you will design, innovate, optimize, build, and run the infrastructure and platforms our clients depend on. Depending on your specialism, this could mean designing and provisioning cloud infrastructure, building internal developer platforms and self-service tooling, running CI/CD automation, defining and monitoring SLOs and leading incident response, or engineering resilient infrastructure at scale. You will be using variety of technologies such as Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes and have exposure to public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP. You don’t need deep expertise across every one of these areas. We’re looking for strong specialists in at least one, with the curiosity and breadth to collaborate with colleagues across the others. As part of your role, you will: • Work with architects and cross-discipline teams to design and implement CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, and platform tooling suited to the team’s needs • Be responsible for infrastructure and platform provisioning, configuration, build, deployment, and monitoring using Infrastructe-as-Code • Define and implement what good observability practices look like for clients, track reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs/error budgets) and participate in incident response where relevant to your specialism • Build and maintain internal developer platforms, golden paths, or self-service tooling that improve developer experience • Work with clients and internal teams to shape new engineering opportunities and grow a strong DevOps/SRE/platform culture • Provide operational support: monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution • Conduct systems tests for security, performance, resilience, and availability • Share your knowledge, coach and mentor colleagues, and grow your own skills by experimenting across adjacent disciplines As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories: Business Development -Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events. Internal contribution -Internal projects, campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development. Learning & development -Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

Your Profile

To be considered for this position you must hold active SC (Security Check) Clearance , or be eligible to gain this level of clearance. You will also have: You’ll bring deep, hands-on experience in one or more of the areas below — plus enough breadth to work confidently alongside colleagues in the others. You don’t need to tick every box. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering • Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Pulumi • Configuration management: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Packer • Networking, virtualisation, and compute provisioning Platform Engineering • Building or operating internal developer platforms (e.g. Backstage, Port, Cortex, OpsLevel) • Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration • Designing golden paths and self-service tooling for engineering teams DevOps & CI/CD • Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc. • Version control: Git, GitHub, GitLab • Working in agile team environments Site Reliability Engineering • Defining and operating against SLIs/SLOs/error budgets • Incident response, on-call practices, and post-incident review • Observability and monitoring: Grafana, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, OpenTelemetry General • Scripting (bash/shell) • Testing tooling: Selenium, Cucumber, etc. • Ability to flexibly support a variety of technologies (Java Spring Boot, NodeJS, SQL/NoSQL) and cloud components • Ability to converse with internal and external stakeholders at the appropriate level
