Company: Finning Canada Number of Openings: 1 Worker Type: Permanent Position Overview: Join Finning as a Condition Monitoring Analyst (CMA) and play a critical role in supporting customers across the Construction and Power Systems industries. Using advanced condition monitoring technologies, telematics, fluid analysis, inspections, and equipment data, you'll help customers reduce downtime, improve reliability, and lower total cost of ownership. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced equipment professionals looking to combine their mechanical expertise with data-driven decision making and emerging technologies. Job Description:

  • Analyze equipment data to identify failure trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
  • Interpret fluid analysis, inspections, telematics, repair history, and machine health information
  • Develop and communicate recommendations that prevent failures and maximize equipment availability
  • Partner with customers, branches, and technical teams to ensure timely action on recommendations
  • Monitor customer fleets and provide insights that improve maintenance planning and fleet performance
  • Follow up on recommendations to verify resolution and capture continuous improvement opportunities
  • Support customer reliability strategies through proactive maintenance and lifecycle planning
  • Participate in projects that advance Finning's condition monitoring tools, processes, and digital capabilities Qualifications:
  • Heavy Duty Mechanic certification, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable technical education
  • 5+ years of mechanical, maintenance, or equipment support experience
  • Strong understanding of Caterpillar equipment and systems, particularly within Construction and Power Systems applications
  • Working knowledge of engines, powertrain, hydraulics, electronics, telematics, and equipment diagnostics
  • Experience interpreting equipment health data and identifying root causes of potential failures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize critical issues
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
