MECH 315 – Intermediate Dynamics (4 credits) Instructor must cover all material as written in the Course Outline on the McGill Course Catalogue page, as follows:

• Single-degree-of-freedom systems; free vibrations; effect of damping; response to harmonic, periodic and arbitrary excitation. Lagrange's equations of motion. Vibrations of multi-degree-of-freedom systems. Continuous systems. Teaching Qualification Requirements:
• Minimum of Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of three years’ experience teaching or in industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of spoken and written English.
• Understanding cross-cultural practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and flexible approach to teaching. Date: January 5, 2027
